[lxc-users] lxcfs on Ubuntu 16.04 host and 14.04 and 16.04 clients

Hi lxcfs users,

I'm trying to improve memory and cpu usage reporting in lxd containers.

Host OS is Ubuntu 16.04.6 with lxcfs 3.0.3-0ubuntu1~16.04.1
Containers are fi. Ubuntu 16.04.6 with lxcfs 2.0.8-0ubuntu1~16.04.2 but also some still on 14.04 .

On https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-lxc/+archive/ubuntu/lxcfs-stable I see lxcfs 4.0.3 for 16.04 and 18.04 .
I started with the host, added ppa with add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-lxc/lxcfs-stable, ran apt update and ran apt install lxcfs.

This upgraded 3.0.3-0ubuntu1~16.04.1
to            3.0.3-0ubuntu1~18.04.2~ubuntu16.04.1~ppa1

Not to 4.0.3 which I had expected as that is listed in the PPA.
What am I missing ?

And what are my options for clients still on 14.04 ?
