I had created a container with default settings and now it fails to start due to space issues,
how can I increase space of a container which has exhausted its space.

Below is the console output when we try to start it

$ sudo lxc-start --name c1
lxc-start: utils.c: mkdir_p: 193 No space left on device - failed to create directory '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/lxc/lxc_putold'
lxc-start: conf.c: setup_rootfs_pivot_root: 1192 No space left on device - failed to create pivotdir '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/lxc/lxc_putold'
lxc-start: conf.c: setup_pivot_root: 1726 failed to setup pivot root
lxc-start: conf.c: lxc_setup: 4223 failed to set rootfs for 'c1'
lxc-start: start.c: do_start: 688 failed to setup the container
lxc-start: sync.c: __sync_wait: 51 invalid sequence number 1. expected 2
lxc-start: start.c: __lxc_start: 1080 failed to spawn 'c1'
lxc-start: lxc_start.c: main: 342 The container failed to start.
lxc-start: lxc_start.c: main: 346 Additional information can be obtained by setting the --logfile and --logpriority options.

When I tried to clone the container to a new container with increased size, even thats not working.

$ sudo lxc-clone -L 2GB c1 c2
lxc_container: bdev.c: mount_unknown_fs: 209 failed to determine fs type for '/dev/loop7'
lxc_container: bdev.c: loop_mount: 1949 Error mounting loop:/var/lib/lxc/c1/rootdev
lxc_container: bdev.c: rsync_rootfs: 2915 failed mounting loop:/var/lib/lxc/c1/rootdev onto /var/lib/lxc/c1/rootdev
lxc_container: lxccontainer.c: copy_storage: 2489 Error copying storage
