Would it be possible to cherry-pick following two openvswitch related
patch in to the stable tree? As long as I see these should be harmless
for stable.

the only change I needed to make was following

After converting lxcbr0 to openvswitch bridge everything seems to be
working as expected (except veths do not appear to be removed from the
openvswitch bridge as Serge pointed in his commit message)
