[lxc-users] /etc/resolv.conf getting set with incorrect permissions

Using lxc 1.0.11 on centos 7.
I create a container with the centos template. In that container,
/etc/resolv.conf gets set with permissions 640. This causes dns lookups to
work for root, but not for any other users.
On the host, /etc/resolv.conf is 644.
Is there something about container creation using this template that causes
resolv.conf to be set with these permissions? My umask on the host is 0022.
