Short version: ask suse support. If they don't provide a
template/tarball, then it's unlikely that anybody else will even
bother trying to make it work.

My guess is opensuse and sles is just too different.

Your best bet is probably to try installing sles on kvm/whatever, and
then copy the resulting root directory for use by lxc. IIRC sles still
use sysvinit, so you'd probably need to look around in the other
templates to see what it does for sysvinit-based distros (e.g.
centos5).
