[lxc-users] DNS does not work when NetworkManager has no connection

After getting reports that name lookup for containers is broken when
the network is unplugged I had a closer look. It is indeed the case
the NetworkManager removes the local nameserver 127.0.1.1 from
/etc/resolv.conf if the connection is dropped (assuming one
connection). This means that there is no entry in /etc/resolv.conf
when there is no network connection.

Which is sad, since the .lxc domain is perfectly functional. Any
pointers to bug reports or workarounds?

I'm thinking of putting 127.0.1.1 statically into resolv.conf (e.g.
/etc/resolvconf/resolv.conf.d/base). But I have neither tried nor
thought this through.

Christoph
