Hey all,
Not sure if everyone have heard about Vagrant (
http://www.vagrantup.com/about.html) but I'm dropping by to say that I'm
working on adding support for LXC to its upcoming 1.1 release over here:
https://github.com/fgrehm/vagrant-lxc.
I've been using it full time to develop a Ruby on Rails app for almost 2
weeks now and looks like the basic infrastructure is working fine. The only
"Vagrant core feature" that I am missing right now is the ability to
redirect ports from the host to the guest container. I've heard that it is
possible to handle that with just iptables but my "iptables skills" are not
that great and I didn't manage to get it working. For now I'm manually
configuring rinetd (http://www.boutell.com/rinetd/) to handle that and as
soon as I have a chance I'll automate that on the Vagrant LXC driver (if I
can't figure out how to do it with iptables)
I'm fairly new to LXC and this new Vagrant 1.1 version doesn't have any
documentation available yet, I'm using the current VirtualBox driver as a
basis for my work so expect to find some "not so pretty" code over there
and to find me around here asking "silly" questions :-)
If you need any help getting it to work or if you find any bug, please
shoot me an email or file an issue on the github issue tracker.
Cheers!
