I think you should be able to use any of the cluster FS (eg. gluster, 
moosefs, GFS... etc.)
However if you want "quota", maybe it's worth to consider images over 
the cluster fs and container's fs in the image.

BTW I would rather use just pure volume's from the storage with ext4 and 
set MMP (multiple mount protection) on the fs.
