[Lxc-users] Backing Up A Container

What tools are you using for backup? I am using Amanda for my Ubuntu
12.04/LXC hosts/guests, however I don't back up the whole root
filesystem. What I do is store a gold root filesystem, and a list of
additional packages installed I generate from dpkg-query. Finally, with
Amanda I only backup data and config files. I have not had any issues so
far re-producing an identically functioning guest system from the gold
image + additional packages + Amanda backups. Of course, my method only
works if you own all the guests.

Sorry I cannot comment more on backing up a whole root filesystem, but
though I would share my technique in case if gives you any ideas.
