It'd be better for the distro to be container aware (which it is a
*lot* moreso in 7) rather than all the patching, but we don't want to
diverge from the upstream distro too much and for older distro's I
think this is about as good as we can do.

The yum plugin might be useful for other yum based distro's too that
patch the rootfs (ie. it looks like Fedora and CentOS do) so that is
why I sent it here upstream. Thanks for applying.
