Namespace must be enabled, and what's your `lxc-checkconfig` output for
that?

Generally, the following should be enabled on the latest vanilla kernel:

--- Namespaces ---
Namespaces: enabled
Utsname namespace: enabled
Ipc namespace: enabled
Pid namespace: enabled
User namespace: enabled
Network namespace: enabled
Multiple /dev/pts instances: enabled
