Oh I see, good point.  I guess it's fine :)  Ack from me, but
note that we're in limbo right now waiting for rc to be tagged
(should be by tomororw) and after that we're in a bugfix-only
freeze.

This may count as a bug fix, but I'll let stgraber decide whether
to take it.

If he doesn't, then please resend after 0.9 is released in April)
with my ack attached.
